Book Program

For National Science Week we are talking about the ocean. Many of us learn through storytelling. We are asking you to tell a story from your culture, community or experience that is about the ocean.

We want to embrace the diversity of our community and come together to share knowledge. Add it to our digital storybook to be a part of the project.

Visit the storybook to explore stories that others have told.

Program Structure

Digital communication is essential in an increasingly online world. However you create content – for social channels, videos, blogs, or music – you need to be able to sell your message.

If you have a passion for storytelling, this project will help you build skills to present your ideas and knowledge.

Using digital tools, you will create an engaging story using images, video and audio. You can tell it in any language or style you like. Please include captions in Australian English. We suggest the Adobe Spark tool, which is free to use.

There are videos below to guide you through the steps of creating your video below!
Partner schools and community groups can book into Languages of the Oceans for live lessons.

Telling your story

Narrate and animate your own story using Adobe Spark. Learn how to record audio, add titles and captions and include video clips to bring your story to life.
