Embedded Programs

A high-impact experience that gives both students and teachers the chance to develop skills in depth.

Designed to run weekly over a whole term or semester, and integrated into your school’s timetable, these programs can be delivered:

  • Fully at Wyndham Tech School: Ideal for schools with limited resources or staff expertise.

  • As a blended model: Where lesson plans and resources allow you to run sessions at your school, with key visits to Wyndham Tech School built in.

Professional Learning

Our Embedded Programs are also a powerful professional learning opportunity for teachers. Taking part alongside the students each week, teachers will grow their STEM confidence and capacity, equipping them to carry forward the skills, strategies, and resources into their own classrooms.

25 Students

Years 9 - 10

1 - 2 Terms

Every Embedded Program is bespoke and requires a conversation with our team to plan around your timetable, class size, and learning needs.

These bookings are not available via online portal.

Our Embedded Programs are designed to

Strengthen your school’s long-term capacity to deliver STEM education in your own classrooms.

Agritech

By 2050, the world will need to feed nearly 10 billion people with fewer resources and less farmland than ever before (World Economic Forum, 2018).

Featuring our on-site Smart Farm, explore how technology can address global food security challenges. Choose from:

Entrepreneurship

Food production through a business lens. Students learn market analysis, branding, and financial planning, using ArcGIS and AI to develop a Shark Tank style pitch presentation.

Systems Engineering

Future farming through an engineering and data science lens. Students code microcontrollers, 3D model (CAD) and 3D print components, and apply data logging and sensor technology to optimise food production.

Digital Product Advertising

In today's tech-driven marketplace, consumer demand for new products is higher than ever.

Over a term-long project, students create their own product from concept to launch, combining 3D modelling (CAD), 3D rendering, branding, animation, and storytelling to produce a launch video marketing their product.

Using industry-grade software and AI-powered design tools, students gain future-ready skills that equip them for evolving careers in product design, graphic design, marketing and video production.

Esports Entrepreneurship

Esports has grown into a multi-million-dollar industry, with Australian revenue estimated to reach over $275 million by 2029 (Statista, 2025).

Students tap into this fast-growing sector by creating their own Esports brand and designing their very own tournament, developing a range of business skills in project management, marketing, event planning, and more.

In the final week, the strongest tournaments will be fully activated on-site, giving students a chance to experience their own event and compete as Esports athletes.

Game Development

52% of Australia's game development studios are based right here in Victoria. As one of the fastest-growing creative industries, generating over $300 million each year (IGEA, 2024), new talent is increasingly in high demand.

Explore the many different roles that bring games to life, from 2D game design theory and offline prototyping to 3D asset creation, game mechanics, and more.

Using industry-leading game engine software, students refine and test their ideas each week, finishing the term with a playable game prototype.

Robotics

By 2030, 16.3 million robots will be operating in factories and workplaces around the world, transforming future careers in every industry (ABI Research, 2024).

Step into this future by designing, building and programming a robot with rotary motors and a functional arm, capable of completing a series of engineering challenges.

Through mechanical design, autonomous coding and computational thinking, students build on their robot each week, gaining firsthand experience in automating real-world tasks.

Smart Water Solutions

Water is one of our most vital resources and one of our biggest challenges. From safe drinking water to wastewater treatment and efficiency, the future of water management depends on technology and smart solutions.

Co-designed with Greater Western Water, this program explores how diverse roles in data, design, engineering and technology work together to solve real-world water issues.

Students use tools such as ArcGIS, sensors, robotics, microcontrollers, 3D modelling and AI, mirroring the type of digital work Greater Western Water professionals do each day.

STEM Racing

Backed by industry and supported by Formula 1®, the global STEM Racing competition combines engineering, design, and enterprise in an exciting team challenge.

Students design, manufacture, test and race miniature cars powered by compressed air, applying principles of physics, aerodynamics, materials science and 3D modelling (CAD).

This term-long program can equip students with the foundations to compete in the Cadet Class, or extend skills for the more advanced Development or Professional Class.

While our Embedded Program runs separately from the official competition, we are proudly the home of the VIC State Finals, where winning teams progress to Nationals for a chance at World Finals.

Whether or not students choose to compete, they will gain experience in engineering, 3D design, project managementbrandingstakeholder engagement and more.

In 2023, one of our partner schools from Hoppers Crossing completed this program and entered the Professional Class competition for the first time.

With the technical knowledge gained here, they advanced to the Nationals in Adelaide, taking home the Judges Recognition award!
